San Juan Processing and Distribution Center HVAC Upgrades is a renovation and upgrading project with the following scope:
- Demolish and replace existing centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, chilled water pumps, condenser water pumps, air handling units (AHUs), VAV terminal units and addition of fan coil units and connect them to existing hydronic piping with all new valves and accessories.
- Demolish all associated circuit breakers, conduit, wire, motor starters, disconnect switches, motor control center, associated motor connections, fire alarm duct mounted smoke detectors, and hardware to reflect demolition of mechanical Central Plant equipment.
- Demolish the existing structural steel framing platform in the Cooling Tower consisting of w-shape beams, hollow structural steel (HSS) posts and all walkway framing, stairs and grating, interior concrete beams. Demolish and replace the existing concrete pads supporting interior AHUs and replace the structural steel framing platform supporting the two (2) new exterior AHUs with new galvanized steel elements.
